Shipping and Handling
Where do you ship to?
We ship within Australia and to Canada, England, America, France, Africa, Netherlands and New Zealand.
Shipping outside these Countries is currently only available only upon request.
We ship using satchels via couriers and Australia Post.
How much is Shipping within Australia?
Shipping within Australia is at a flat rate of $10 per order.
Orders within Australia over $150 are offered a free shipping option. This option is not applicable to wholesale customers as they are already receiving a discounted rate.
How much is International Shipping?
Shipping internationally depends on the weight and size of the order. Overseas customers can get an idea of postage costs on the Australia Post website here .
Packing fees are not appplied to orders, however a 5% Paypal fee is added to the cost of shipping fees. Payment is in Australian Dollars.
Any additional Country taxes are payable by the customer. Please do not reject items due to your Country taxes, as they are returned to Booby Traps and this cost will need to be paid by the customer.
I live overseas - how do I order a digital pattern?
Simply order online and after the payment is made , the digital deliveries come via email (if you check out as a guest). Please remember to check your spam folder in case the email ends up there, as we do have a cheeky business name ;)
If you register on our website during your pattern purchase, you have access to your patterns in your account at all times. Simply click on my downloadable products to view and print your patterns. If you are concerned about registering, be certain that Booby Traps only sends emails for an order and receipt - so no junk emails if you register.
You will only receive advertising emails if you also register your email address for the newsletter. The newsletter emails are done to offer promotions and sales, informing you of new pattern releases or new stock that has arrived.
If I make a purchase online and select in store pick up - what days can I collect my order?
Online purchases can be collected at an mutually suitable time.
Simply email your preferred collection time and we will endeavour to fit in. These items must be paid in full at time of ordering.
Please be aware, we will do our best to fit in with your preferred times, but we cannot always be available. Please be sure we have confirmed your collection time prior to coming.
I only need a few small items, can I get a cheaper freight cost?
The minumum freight is $10, no matter the item weight. This is becuase we use EParcel and are lucky enought to have the courier collect from our warehouse. It is not practical for Booby Traps staff to drive a small parcel to the post box or office when we already have a standing arrangement.
Can I use my own courier?
I am sorry, we cannot work with other frieght companies. Booby Traps has extensively researched different freight options and EParcel suits our needs entirely. Thanks to EParcel, we are now able to ship overseas and to Post Office box addresses. EParcel is the only method of freight available.
How long does it take to pack and send items?
On occasion, we can take up to 10 working days to ship items. It is rare to need this time, and most parcels leave within a few days of ordering. As we are a family run business, we may need to freight time allowed in some cases due to other business commitments. Express items placed prior to 11am will be sent that same day with the exclusion of Fridays as we are closed.
How long will my parcel take to arrive to me?
It depends on your state within Australia. Freight can take anywhere from 1 - 7 business days to arrive after it is shipped. You will be emailed a tracking number when the parcel is shipped so you can track its progress. Please be aware, we are not responsible for EParcel's speed of service. Once the parcel leaves Booby Traps it is solely in the hands of EParcel.
What happens if my parcel is damaged or lost?
At point of checkout, you will be offered the opportunity to insure your parcel for a small fee based on the cost of your order. This means if anything happens to your parcel during transit, we can do something about it. If you opt to not insure your parcel, Booby Traps is not resonsible for any loss or damage during tansit. We understand it is very frustrating to have to ensure EParcel to cover your parcel, but that is simply how they work. They will not cover any parcel lost or damaged by themselves without this insurance cover. Booby Traps will make sure your parcel leaves our warehouse in-tact, but after this, we have no control over its delivery. We strongly recommend insuring all orders. If a customer elects to not add insurance, it is at your own risk and Booby Traps is not liable for any damage or loss.
If your parcel is insured and is late, check your tracking information here . If the tracking information is not helpful or has not moved for many days, simply call the helpline on 13 76 78 and speak to a customer service representative. You will need to quote your tracking number. A case will be opened to try and locate the parcel. You will be notified by email as to the outcome of the search, If the parcel cannot be located, Eparcel will declare it lost in transit. At this stage please email Booby Traps with teh case number and email confirmation that the parcel was declared lost, and we will re-pack and re-send your parcel. We cannot re-send a parcel until the case has been closed and the parcel officially declared lost.
What do you pack items in?
We use satchels and envelopes to ship orders. Booby traps is striving to reduce our environmental impact and as such are making active changes to improve our packing materials and methods. We are trying to reduce plastics and excess packign materials. Our shopping and rubbish bags in store are biodegradable. We hope to improve our current system further as recylclable shipping products become available.
Why are my bra components in a singular envelope and my bra wires not separated?
When ordering in small quantities, the items will be put in the same envelope. Bra components in amounts smaller than 100 pieces will be shipped together to minimise environmental impact. Bra wires are not labelled or packaged as they are colour coded and measured on our website to allow customers see what size they have. Booby Traps is aware of our wastage and plastic usage, and we are constantly striving to reduce our impact.
My satchel was open when it arrived. What do I do?
Please take photos immediately and request the courier note and sign the satchel sticker to acknowledge that the parcel was damaged in transit. Then accept the parcel and contact the helpline on 13 76 78 and report the damage. Please also note if items are missing or marked from the satchel damage. Please inform Boob Traps of your situation so we can attempt top assist you. Be aware, if insurance was not added to the freight, there is nothing we can do to assist you.
